Outrank alternatives: what to use instead in 2026
Outrank researches keywords, writes and auto-publishes blog articles, and builds backlinks through an exchange where members host each other's links. Here is how SEO Automation and 3 other tools compare, with prices as each one lists them on its own site.
| Feature | SEO Automation | Outrank |
|---|---|---|
| Monthly price | $49/month per site, billed monthly | $99/month ($999/year) |
| Articles per month | 50 researched articles | 30, or 60 for $184 with the add-on |
| How authority is built | No link exchanges: content and internal links | Backlink exchange between member sites |
| Cover images | Made for each article in your site's style, included | Included; premium images are a $49/month add-on |
Outrank details as listed on their pricing page in October 2026. Check their site for current plans.
Why teams switch
- 50 articles for $49 instead of 30 for $99.
- No link exchange. Google's spam policies list excessive link exchanges as link spam, so SEO Automation builds visibility with useful content and links to your own pages.
- Covers in your site's style are included, with no image add-on.
- New articles follow the format of your published ones: structure, headings, length, and on GitHub, the same frontmatter and file names.
When Outrank may suit you better
Sites that want a backlink exchange bundled with content. Before you pay: you can test before paying; trial articles carry a watermark.

Outrank alternatives: common questions
What is the best Outrank alternative?
It depends on what you want from it. If you want articles researched, written, checked and published for you at a fixed price, SEO Automation does 50 a month for $49. RankPill suits sites that want backlink credits in the same plan. Byword suits teams producing large batches who publish themselves.
How much does Outrank cost?
Outrank lists $99/month for 30 articles on its pricing page. For about 50 articles a month: $184/month for 60 articles with the add-on. Prices checked in October 2026.
Is Outrank legit?
Outrank is an active product with public pricing and plans on its own website. Before you pay: you can test before paying; trial articles carry a watermark. Whether it fits depends on what you need: it suits sites that want a backlink exchange bundled with content.
Does Outrank build backlinks?
Backlink exchange: you earn credits by hosting other members' links. SEO Automation doesn't use link exchanges or networks: it builds visibility with useful articles and links to your own pages.
Can I switch from Outrank without losing my articles?
Yes. Articles already published stay on your site. SEO Automation reads the pages you already have before it plans, so it doesn't write the same topics twice, and it links new articles to your existing ones.
